The Katadyn Hiker and Hiker Pro replacement cartridge is a 0.3-micron microfilter with a pleated glass-fiber element and an activated carbon core that filters bacteria, protozoa, and sediment, while also improving water taste and odor. The cartridge is designed to replace the old element in Hiker and Hiker Pro (and some older PUR Hiker) filters and provides up to 200-300 gallons of clean water, depending on water quality. It includes a cleanable filter protector screen to extend its life, along with a maintenance kit.

    Removes bacteria, protozoa, and sediment with a 0.3-micron pleated glass-fiber filter element.

    An activated carbon core adsorbs chemicals and pesticides to improve taste and odor. 
     
  • Capacity: 
    Filters up to 200-300 gallons of water before needing replacement, depending on water quality. 
     
  • Filter Protector: 
    Includes a cleanable, fine-mesh filter protector screen that blocks larger debris and helps extend the cartridge's life. 
     
  • Compatibility: 
    Works with the Katadyn Hiker, Hiker Pro, and Base Camp microfilters. 
     
  • Maintenance: 
    The filter protector can be cleaned by simply swishing it in water. The replacement kit may also include a sponge and silicone lubricant
