Katadyn's Carbon Cartridge can be put on the output hose of any pump filter to improve taste and smell of filtered water. This is an activated carbon filter that improves the taste and smell of water by removing chemicals, odors, and bad tastes through a process called adsorption. It works by trapping impurities in the carbon's pores and is compatible with various Katadyn filters and adapters to provide clean, refreshing drinking water from different sources. Some models require the user to load the carbon, while others come with a pre-loaded module, and all require a pre-use flush to clear carbon dust.
