Meet the Team
The Outdoor Geeks was founded by Tim and Laura, two lifelong outdoor enthusiasts who wanted more freedom and time to reconnect with nature. Along with Molly and Kal (our marketing and tech wizards), we’re a small but passionate crew who personally test gear, explore new trails, and chase fresh air every chance we get.
Tim Richard
Tim is originally from Massachusetts and has been a nature nut and adventure addict since he could tie his own shoes. At 19, he tackled a 28-day survival school in Utah, emerging as a nature-connecting, mindset-mastering wildman. Tim’s obsessed with outdoor gear, geeking out over every tiny detail that makes stuff awesome—or dreaming up ways to make it even cooler. With an entrepreneurial spark that just won’t quit, he dove headfirst into creating something epic, something he can throw his whole heart into.
Laura Gillmer
Meet Laura, the horse-whispering, nature-loving dynamo who’s basically living the dream! This Vermont-born gal is a pro horse trainer with a heart full of love for all critters, epic landscapes, and outdoor thrills. When she’s not taming stallions or cuddling with her furry crew, you’ll find her adventuring with her husband Tim, chasing new horizons, or shredding the trails on her mountain bike. Whether she’s snapping jaw-dropping photos, hiking rugged peaks, or carving up snowy slopes, Laura’s all about embracing the wild side of life!
Molly Griffith
Meet Molly, the Vermont-to-Colorado transplant who’s been lighting up Summit County for over a decade! This high-energy firecracker and her husband, along with their trusty dog Zora, are always out chasing epic adventures in the great outdoors. Whether she’s tearing up trails on her mountain bike, sprinting through scenic runs, shredding the slopes, paddleboarding like a pro, or camping under the stars, Molly’s all about living large. With a magnetic personality that pulls everyone into her orbit, this fun-loving dynamo is the ultimate adventure buddy!
Kal Wiggins
Meet Kal, our tech-wizard extraordinaire who’s the mastermind behind all the digital magic. This brilliant web guru has been zipping across the US, leaving a trail of awesome code in his wake, and now calls the funky outskirts of Portland, Oregon, home. When he’s not busy building and shaping the tech that powers everything behind the scenes, Kal’s out there soaking up the Pacific Northwest vibes with his larger-than-life personality and knack for making things epic!
